FOODGUARD & German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BFR)

How do we extend food shelf life while maintaining safety and consumer trust? In our latest Foodguard video, we highlight the important role of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BFR) in ensuring that innovation goes hand in hand with scientific rigor and regulatory confidence.

As Germany's independent scientific authority for food and consumer safety, the BFR plays a vital role in assessing health risks, advising policymakers, and communicating evidence-based information to the public.

Within the Foodguard project, BFR helps ensure that innovative solutions are not only effective but also safe, credible, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
