We showcased:

  • 3 scientific posters

  • A joint pitch at the IAFP Marketplace

  • Cutting-edge tools from EU-funded research

The FOODGUARD project had a remarkable presence at the International Association for Food Protection European Symposium, held from 6 to 8 May 2025 in Madrid. The team presented three scientific posters and delivered an engaging project pitch and presentation as part of the IAFP Interactive Marketplace—a one-stop shop for food safety resources across Europe.

On May 7th, FOODGuard joined forces with the DiTECT Project EU/China in a dedicated session within the Marketplace. This exciting initiative by the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) offers a unique platform to showcase tools, results, and innovations from EU-funded research projects focused on advancing food safety.

The session highlighted the progress and key achievements of both projects, emphasizing their contributions to improving food safety through advanced technologies, early detection methods, and data-driven approaches. Events like the IAFP Marketplace are essential for fostering collaboration, raising awareness, and ensuring scientific advancements reach industry, regulators, and consumers in practical and impactful ways.

A big thank you to the leader organizer Leon Gorris, fellow presenters, and attendees for the stimulating discussions and valuable knowledge exchange!
