Always working in close collaboration with the food industry, Prof. Nikos Chorianopoulos (Agricultural University of Athens) presented key results of FOODGUARD at the workshop “Food & Beverage Industry: New Technologies and AI for the Foods of the Future.”

The workshop was organized by SEVT – Hellenic Food Industry Association during FOODTECH Greece, the leading international trade show dedicated to food and beverage production, processing, and handling technologies. The event took place on 7–10 November 2025 and brought together more than 15,000 professionals from the sector.

In addition, Prof. George Nychas presented “The role of protective cultures in FOODGUARD” in a dedicated workshop for SYNPA members, highlighting its value and practical applications for the food industry.
