FOODGUARD had a busy and inspiring month, taking part in several key scientific and public engagement events across Greece.
1–3 September 2025 | Athens
FOODGUARD co-organised a joint session with a network of EU projects during the 13th International Conference on Predictive Microbiology in Food (ICPMF13), where the team also delivered both oral and poster presentations. In addition, FOODGUARD organised one symposium—presented by Panagiotis Skandamis and Matthias Filter—and one workshop, contributing to the exchange of knowledge on the use of AI tools for predictive microbiology and risk assessment.
22–24 September 2025 | Thessaloniki
The Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) team represented FOODGUARD at the Joint Conference of Mikrobiokosmos and the Central East Europe Symposium of Microbial Ecology (MBCEESME 2025), presenting three scientific posters and sharing insights from the project’s ongoing research.

FOODGUARD was also proudly showcased by Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) during Researchers’ Night 2025, engaging with the wider public and promoting awareness of the project’s objectives and achievements.
